June J. Hurst, 78, of Akron, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2016. June was born on February 4, 1938 in Vinemont, Alabama; daughter of the late John and Georgia Robison. She retired from Akron General Hospital in 2000 and then worked part time at Springfield Senior Center from 2000-2009. She met and married her husband Robert M. Hurst in 1963 and he precedes her in death.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Neil; grandsons, David and Cayman Hurst; nieces, Jackie (Russ) Romocean, Belinda (Ron) Wise-Brillouet, and Wendy (Andy) Hanzel; nephew, Ken (Carolyn) Hurst; sister, Nancy (Ralph) Wise; great nephews, Jack, Ralph, Benjamin, Kristopher and Nicholas; great nieces, Samantha, Bobbi Jo, and Kelly; and good friend, Kitty Williams.
Private services have been held at her request. Interment was at Hillside Memorial Park.
