Judith “Judy” L. Wilson, née Fowler, passed away on October 11, 2026, in Tallmadge, Ohio, at the age of 79. She was born on October 23, 1946, in Barberton, Ohio, and lived a life marked by devotion to her family, faithful work, and a caring spirit that touched many.
Judy was a graduate of North High School in Akron, Ohio. She went on to build a long and meaningful career as a hairstylist, a profession she embraced for more than 50 years. Over the course of those decades, she served at many salons in the area and ultimately retired from Tallmadge Hair Service after many years of service to the community. Through her work, she became a familiar and valued presence to countless people, offering not only her skill, but also the warmth and kindness that so naturally defined her.
She was a wonderful and caring person who loved her family and friends dearly. Beyond her work, Judy found joy in life’s quieter pleasures. She loved reading novels, and she took great pride in her gardening and yardwork, tending to her home and surroundings with the same care she gave to the people she loved.
At the heart of Judy’s life was her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Dennis Wilson, with whom she shared a lasting and devoted marriage. She also leaves her children, Lynette (Mel) Murphy, Chad Rhodes, and Kaylem Fowler; her granddaughters, Haley (Matt) Lamb and Paige (Matt) Cody; her great-grandchildren, Cohen and Murphy; and her sister, Glenna Judd and her husband, Michael. The love Judy held for her family was deep and abiding, and that love remains part of the legacy she leaves behind.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Agnes and Dewey Fowler; her sister, Darlene Fowler; her grandson, Luke Caplinger; and her son-in-law, Keith Caplinger. Their memories remained part of her life and her family’s story, and they are remembered with her now.
The family extends special thanks to Rick and Sue Clark, neighbors and friends who were always there for Dennis and Judy. Their steadfast care and friendship will be long remembered.
Judy will be remembered with love for her gentle heart, her dedication to her work, and the deep affection she gave so freely to those around her. Her life was one of constancy, kindness, and quiet grace, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Per Judy's wishes Cremation will take place and no services will be held.
