Joyce Annell Maddox (nee Turrentine)
Joyce Annell Maddox, 64, of Ravenna, passed away suddenly on January 15, 2015. She was born in Hartselle, Alabama on November 11, 1950 to the late James and Jesse Turrentine. Joyce was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She devoted herself to her family and was never more happy than when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was generous with her time and always willing to help those in need. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Larry and sister, Gail. She will be deeply missed by her children: David Maddox Jr. and his children, Matthew, Troy, and Tyler; Cheryl Eisentraut and her children, Joshua, Sean, and Erin Annell, Kimberly Winchester and her son, Colin Rex, and Joseph Maddox and his son, Hunter; siblings, Leon, Jimmie Nell, Carl (Charlene), and Jerry Wayne; many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, January 23, 2015 from 5-7 followed by a 7:00 p.m. memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's research Hospital or the ASPCA.
