Joyce D. Hartley, 61, of Akron, passed away May 16, 2014. She was born in Charlotte, NC on March 21, 1953 to the late Luke and Evelyn Woods.
Joyce was employed at Mullberry Gardens for seven years where she loved working with the residents. Her greatest passion was her grandchildren.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Jim; children, John Predico and Shalyn Palmentera; grandchildren, Shyla and Angel; brother, Dennis (Lori) Pavlik; sisters, Debbie (Randy) Merrell and Diane Hudson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, May 20, from 4-6 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a funeral service will follow calling hours at 6 p.m. with Fr. Mike Williamson presiding.
