Joy L. Hatfield, 53, of Barberton, OH went home to be with the Lord on October 14, 2014 after a courageous two year battle with stomach cancer. She was born July 28, 1961 and resided in Barberton most of her life. She attended Barberton High School and was a member of Victory Chapel in Akron. Joy had a love for everything and everyone. She touched many lives and had a wonderful support system. She had a special love for kids, animals, and the ocean.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Golden and brother, William Golden. She is survived by her husband, Lewis Hatfield; mother, Flora A. Johnson, stepfather, Ted Johnson; her three morning glories, Holli Golden, Breanne Sorrell, and Nicholas Golden; brother, Richard (Pam) Golden; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Victory Chapel, 32 W. Bellisle Dr., Akron.
