Josephine H. Caughron
Josephine H. Caughron, 92, of Akron, passed away November 3, 2015. She was born in Akron , Ohio on July 31, 1923 to the late Joseph and Jane Hillman. Josephine was employed at Akwell Corp. for 28 years. She was a lifetime member of Lakemore United Methodist Church. In her free time, Josephine enjoyed gardening, cooking and crafts. She was an avid baseball fan.
In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, James Caughron, daughter, Mary-jo Bohnert and brother, Edward Hillman.
She is survived by her children, Joe (Marie) Carron, Carol Caughron, and Marlene Caughron; brother, Joseph Hillman from Alabama; son-in-law, Hank Bohnert; grandchildren, Jim (Deborah) Carron, Tod Carron, Adam Bohnert, and Katie Bohnert; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, November 5 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will be held Friday at Lakemore United Methodist Church, 1536 Flickinger Rd, Akron, OH 44312 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service, with Rev. Jeff Gindlesberger officiating.
Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. Donations can be made in honor of Josephine to Lakemore United Methodist Church.
