Joseph Patrick Sano Jr.

Joseph Patrick Sano Jr., 71, of Lakemore, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 19, 2026. He was born in Buffalo, NY on June 26, 1955 to the late Joseph Sr. and Mary Lou{McBurney} Sano.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brothers Barry and Paul Sano.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Terri Sano; sons Joseph Patrick Sano III (Shannon) and Samson (Amanda) Sano; daughter Charisse (Tony) Torres; step-children Jason (Heather), Jeremy (Jackie), and Joshua (Alicia) Dinger; 18 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings Judy Edwards, Jim (Teresa) Sano and Frank (Helen) Sano.

Joe retired from YRC as a long distance truck driver after over 30 years on the road.

Joe loved being outside, hunting, fishing, and tracking Bigfoot. He loved rescuing animals, training dogs, and collecting pretty rocks he found along the way. He enjoyed making wine, being up at the lake, and his family above all. Joe was quite the prankster, and loved to spook his family members!

Joe had a way of pausing to appreciate each moment in life, often stopping to "smell the roses", even in the literal sense. His family admired the way he was able to stay solid in each moment, and believes it to be the greatest lesson he left them.
