Joseph M. McDowell (G-Pa), 68, passed away surrounded by his family November 11, 2016. Joe was born in Akron, Ohio. He was a Buchtel High and University of Akron graduate (Phi Delta). Joe was a successful businessman and entrepreneur. In recent years, he traveled the world with his wife, making St. John USVI his home. Joe will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sally; his sons, Joseph John (Laura) and Michael (Dawn); grandchildren, Sarah, Jack, Alexandra and Caitlyn; brother, Thomas (Deborah); sisters, Ann Zazo and Sally (Will) Peterson, and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to best friends Ed (Joanna) Allison and Cathy (Pete) Peterson.
Private services will be held and his ashes will be scattered around Waterlemon Cay on St. John USVI.
