Joseph E. Burger left this world on May 25, 2014 to be with the Lord.
He was born in Akron on April 13, 1957.
Preceded in death by his father, Richard; sisters, Sandy and Angie; great-aunt, Agnes; and his buddy and uncle, George "Red".
He is survived by daughter, Marie; son, Joseph (Alli); mother, Connie; grandchildren, Austin, Johnny, Jacob, Curtis, and Maddi; siblings, Rita, Fran, Rick, Teresa, Joan, Marc, Todd, Renee, Emma, and Tina; best friends, Jay, Tim, Dale, R.C., and George; also many nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members.
He will be remembered as "World's Greatest Papa" and terribly missed by all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 1 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Family and friends may gather from 11 a.m. until the service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
