Johnny "Pam" Stroud, 67, of Akron, passed away May 20, 2014. He was born in Montgomery, AL on February 16, 1947 to the late Johnny and Susie Stroud.
He was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Clifford Stroud and brother, Dwight Stroud.
Johnny enjoyed shopping, travelling, hiking the Metro Parks, collecting sailboats and radio controlled cars and trucks, working in the yard and jazz. He always came up with easier, more efficient ways to do things. Johnny especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He simply loved life and enjoyed his retirement.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 24 years, Geraldine Lewis; daughters, Starlyn and Pamela Stroud; sons, Anthony and DeJohn Stroud; step-children, Detrus, Masquenada, Crystal and Jared; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha, Esther and Anna; brother, Robert.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, May 27, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a funeral service will follow calling hours at 12 p.m. with Dr. Robert Johnson officiating.
