John David Tedrick

John David Tedrick, 77, passed away on August 3, 2026. He was born on January 9, 1949 the son of the late John R. and Evelyn M. Tedrick. He was a man of faith and was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. He retired after 30 years of dedicated service from Morse Control and then went on to work at Walmart. David was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan and Notre Dame Fan. David will always be remembered for his sense of humor, infectious laugh, jokes and stories, and most importantly his love of his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Michael Tedrick.

David is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Kathryn M. Tedrick; sons Paul (Susanne) Tedrick and Scott Tedrick; siblings Greg (Joan) Tedrick, Denise (Michael) Robinson, Kathleen Tedrick, and Mark Tedrick; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:30AM on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at St Matthew Catholic Church (2580 Berne St. Akron 44312) with Fr. Michael Williamson, officiating.

Interment will take place at Tallmadge Cemetery.
