John H. Robertson Sr.

John H. Robertson Sr., 87, of Akron, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 14, 2025. He was born on August 6, 1938 in Roanoke, VA to the late Clarence and Anna Robertson. He retired from Goodyear after over 30 years as a police officer. John was an active and devoted member at United Baptist Church, where he also proudly served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and wife of 54 years, Bobbie G. Robertson (nee Wilson); 12 brothers and sisters; and many other extended family members.

John will be deeply missed by his children, John Jr., Vincent (Marlene) Robertson, Selena Robertson, and Jason (Adriana) Robertson; sister, Joyce Robertson; brother, James (Marjorie) Robertson; six grandchildren, Stephanie, James, Anthony, Pamela, Lorenzo, and Kyra; goddaughter, Jada Lane; and also many extended family and friends.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Per John’s wishes, he will be laid to rest with his wife at Williams Memorial Park in Roanoke, Virginia.
