John was born in Ohio to parents Robert and Mary Fruchey only a few years after his sister, Roberta. He was a beloved father to Robert and Jamie Fruchey. John was an enlightened individual that loved the outdoors, music, and fishing. He loved to fish, if you knew him long enough you'd probably hear about rainbow trout in Pennsylvania. He loved all sorts of musical instruments, owning quite a few tambourines and drums. He was beginning to use them to try to help non verbal kids speak. He was a hippy through and through, including owning an old 74 Westfelia VW Bus. Yes you have to call it a bus he was very quick to tell you it wasn't a van. He also collected rocks and gems, some that he found while walking through creeks, others from thrift stores that he absolutely loved going to. I mean seriously if we drove past one he'd ask to go every time. He also recently got into mountain biking with his son, hiding little gnome statues out in the wild for people to find.
He will leave behind a hole in a lot of peoples hearts, but we have to treasure the good times we had. He always held high spirits, and would want us all to do the same. May he rest in peace, watching over us while dancing to music.
We will be having a Celebration of Life on March 14th 6pm - 8pm @ East Liberty Church of the Nazarene, 700 E Turkeyfoot Lake Rd, Uniontown OH 44685. Those who wish may make memorial donations in John's name to the Autism Society of Greater Akron.
