John E. Woody

John E. Woody, 64, lifelong resident of Springfield Twp, passed away November 21, 2012. He was born January 17, 1948 to Frank and Elizabeth Woody. John spent three years serving in the U.S. Army and retired in 2008 from Lakeland Mold. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, hiking, waterfall photography, RVing, all with his wife, family and friends.

Survived by his parents; wife of 17 years, Ruby Leetta Woody; daughter, Shawna (Jeff) Stiles of Norton, OH; grandchildren, Beau and Brooke Stiles, Samantha (Dennis) Smith; great grandchildren, Carley and Haley Smith; brother, Jerry (Linda) Woody of Amelia Island, FL; sisters, Mary Jane Khayat of Spruce Pine, NC and Deborah (Pat) Conley of Las Vegas, NV.

Friends may call 5-8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Community Baptist Temple, 1398 Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44312. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Baptist Temple New Building Fund.
