John C. Combs

John C. Combs, 60, of Akron, passed away on December 27, 2025. He was born on August 20, 1965 the son of the late Frank and Mary Combs of Akron, Ohio. He was an avid Cleveland Browns, Ohio State and NASCAR fan. John enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing, camping and hunting with friends and family. He never failed to brighten up a room with his infectious laugh, smile and sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Susan Combs and David Reed; and brother-in-law Dan Drainer.

John is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Donna K. Combs; sons Brian (Alyssa Robinson) Combs and Jason Combs; granddaughter Skye Robinson; siblings Kathy Drainer and Cindy (Mike) Stewart, and Frank Combs; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 7th from 4:00pm to 5:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron 44305) where services will be held at 5:00pm with Pastor Charles Loveday officiating.
