John W. Austin Jr.

John W. Austin, Jr, 70, passed away on February 19, 2026. Born in Akron, Ohio, he resided in the area most of his life. John graduated from Southeast High School in Palmyra Township in 1972 before joining the U. S. Navy. He previously worked as a machinist for many years. John and Christina were married in 2017, and he joined the local church where they worshiped together at Shoreline Community Church. He always enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and basically anything outdoors.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Christina; father, John W. Austin Sr; siblings, Bobby Austin, Sue Austin. He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Missy Hundley, Stacy Bolyard; step-mother, Joyce Bales; siblings, Ted Austin, Jim Austin, George Austin, Jeff Austin; several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a celebration of John's life a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in John's name to the charity of their choice.
