Joe E. Stanley, 75, of Stow, passed away April 22, 2008. Joe was born December 19, 1932 in Ferrum, Virginia to the late Edward and Maude Stanley. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was self-employed as a painter. In his free time, he loved gardening. Joe will be deeply missed by his wife of 29 years, Ethel Emogene; daughter, Debra; sisters, Nancy Haynes and Louise Dodson; and many other relatives and friends. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m., Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
