Joanne Schmidt (Heiselman), 77, resident of Kent, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. She was born on June 11, 1936 in Akron, Ohio to the late Anthony and Barbara Heiselman. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Heiselman. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, David Schmidt; brother, Fred; sisters, Pauline and Margie; nieces and nephews.
Private family services have been observed. Final resting place is at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Portage Animal Protective League, 8122 Infirmary Rd, Ravenna, OH 44266.
