Joan D. Braden, 50, of Akron, passed away February 8, 2009. Joan was born in Akron on November 28, 1958. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Braden and nephew, Kyle Phillips. She will be deeply missed by her son, Jeremy Liekhus; mother, Phyllis Braden; siblings, Vickie (Vernon) Tyson, John (Ellen) Braden, Richard (Kelly) Braden, and Linda (Tim) Jones; special friend, Terry; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
