Jesse C. Boling

Jesse C. Boling, 91, passed away on June 16, 2025. He was born on February 25, 1934 the son of the late Jesse and Sara Boling. He was a man of faith and was a member of The Chapel in Akron. Jesse began his career at A&P Supermarkets as a produce manager at several Akron area locations. He went on to own and operate Midway Automotive in Northhampton he then retired after 32 years of dedicated service from Ford Motor Company Walton Hills Stamping Plant.

In his younger years he enjoyed flying and drag racing. Jesse was a proud member of the Akron Camjammers and really enjoyed taking part in all their activities. He won 2nd place drag racing his hot rod in the National Championship. He enjoyed watching and feeding birds.

Jesse was known for his boundless capabilities and lived a life dedicated to the ideals of hard work, resilience, and self-sufficiency. He was truly a jack of all trades even rebuilding his own house. Jesse's remarkable hands-on approach to life was evident in everything he undertook. His ability to do everything himself extended beyond just routine tasks; it encompassed projects that many would shy away from.

Throughout his years, Jesse inspired friends and family alike with his resourcefulness and unwavering resolve, always willing to help others, his sense of humor, and his love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his son Guy Boling; grandson Brett Standen; and son-in-law Khim Standen.

Jesse is survived by his wife of 25 years, Shirley M. Boling; children Sherri Standen, and Mark (Patty) Boling; step-son Scott Zuidema; grandchildren Kristi, Justin (Kristy), Jesse, Samantha, and Victoria; 6 great-grandchildren; special friend Bill Peterson; and many relatives and friends.

A celebration of Jesse's life will take place at a later date.
