Jerry B. Ruester, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, retired from County of Summit Engineer Office on January 1, 2000, after 36 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Ruester; and sister, Margie Riley.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Ruester; his son, Michael Garlow (Jenelle); three grandchildren, Noah, Macy, and Emma; his brother, Robert Ruester of Toledo, Ohio; his nephew, David Ruester of Akron, and several other nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 5-8 PM.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown Street, Akron, on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 10:00 AM, where Fr. Matthew E. Pfeiffer will celebrate Jerry's life. Morning prayers on Tuesday will be held at 9:20 AM at the funeral home before processing to church.
Jerry will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron.
