Jeffrey A. Sowash, 31, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 26, 2002. Jeffrey served in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm with the 361st Military Police Corps. He was a social studies teacher, track coach, and ski club advisor at Cloverleaf Middle School. He also taught Sunday School at Grace Baptist Church. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Lee Sowash; grandparents, Wayne and Elizabeth Sowash and Floyd and Mildred Webber; aunt, Marjorie Perry; and uncle, Dewey Sowash. He is survived by his loving wife of 4 1/2 years, Jennifer (nee Naehring) Sowash; one year old son, Caleb Thomas Sowash; parents, Frederick and Ellen Sowash of Akron; sister, Kathryn Sowash of Akron; nephews and niece, Justin, Alexis, Christian, Noah, and Jacob; seven aunts; five uncles; two brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, January 29th from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Phil Hulgin officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
