Jeffrey Mitchell

Jeffrey R. Mitchell, 60, passed away on July 5, 2026. Born on September 11, 1965, he was the son of the late David and Lois Mitchell of Akron, Ohio.

Jeffrey was known for his steady enthusiasm and the interests that shaped his life. He enjoyed building with Legos, had a lifelong fascination with dragons, and was an avid fisherman who appreciated time spent outdoors. He valued the company of family and friends and approached life with a practical, creative spirit.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Kelly Mitchell; his children Brian Coble, Heather Mitchell, and Nicholas Mitchell; grandchildren Brandon and Carmen; siblings Sharon (Mike) Philips, Terrie Haggerty, David (Robin) Mitchell, Kathy Mitchell, and in‑law Sheryl Coble; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cremation will be carried out privately.
