Jean Cole

Jean Cole, 89, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026. Born in Millstone, West Virginia to Hagan and Estel (Allen) Powell, she resided in the Akron, Ohio area all of her adult life. Jean enjoyed playing cards, traveling, lunches and dinners out, watching TV and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her daughter, Anita Kay Clifford; son-in-law, John Clifford; siblings, Erma Lee, Richard, Larry. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 69 years, Loyd Cole; grandson, Jesse (Chelsea) Cole; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Janet Savich, Gary (Beverly) Powell, Lennis Powell; many nieces and nephews.

The family will have a celebration of Jean's life at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Jean's name to the charity of their choice.
