Javion Jaylen Fort

December 17, 2009 — June 13, 2025

Akron, OH

Javion Jaylen Fort transitioned from this life on June 13, 2025, at just 15 years old.

Born in Akron, Ohio, on December 17, 2009. Javion was a bright and beautiful soul who left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. From the moment he came into this world, he carried a light that shone through his smile, his laughter, and his deep compassion for others.

A proud student at Steel Academy, Javion was known for his quick wit, warm heart, and quiet strength. He found great joy on the football field, where he gave his all as a dedicated teammate. Whether he was running drills, celebrating a win, or simply encouraging someone from the sidelines, Javion played with passion and purpose, just like he lived.

He was the kind of young man who made people feel seen. A gentle soul with a strong spirit, Javion knew how to lift a room with just his presence. He was a loyal friend, a protective brother, a loving son—and to many, a safe place.

Though his time here was brief, his impact was profound. Javion’s life reminds us that it’s not the number of years we live, but the love we give, the joy we spread, and the lives we touch that define a legacy.

Javion leaves behind a circle of deep love and unshakable devotion to celebrate his life and carry on his memory: his mother, Karen Fort; siblings, Arianna and Jeremiah Fort; grandparents, Shirl Skipper, Jeff Fort, and Eric Adamson. His uncles, Geno Jr. and Eric Jr.; his aunt, Janae; his favorite little princess, Mia'Lanii; his niece; and cousins, Geno III and Karlie. Great-grandmothers, Michalene Skipper and Terry Fort. Great Aunts Stacia (Jim) Landrom and Charice Fort, Great Uncle Shawn Logan, and special cousin Jamila. Javion’s extended family, including aunts, uncles, cousins, classmates, teammates, coaches, and cherished friends, who were all blessed by his presence.

We find comfort in knowing that Javion is now resting in the arms of our Heavenly Father. And though our hearts are heavy, we celebrate the gift of who he was and the everlasting imprint he leaves behind.

Javion Jaylen Fort’s life was a gift. His love was a blessing. His legacy is eternal.
