Jannifer was born on December 19, 1947 and went home to be with the Lord on October25, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jan retired from Flexible Benefits Systems Inc. She was an enthusiastic card maker. She enjoyed making cards for the soldiers in Operation Write Home. She loved listening to the Beach Boys, spending time with her family, and her dog Pip. She was also a video game enthusiast and loved playing with her son and grandsons.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Erelene Parr; brother, Jerry Parr; and nephew, Jason Rinehart. Jan is survived by her children, Julie (Dennis) Wayman and Patrick (Wendi) Collins; sister, Jeanie (George) Giusti; brothers, Jeff (Cindy) Parr and James Parr; grandchildren, Jeff, Josh (Shannon), Liz Wayman, and Gage Hall; many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 11-1 followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Dwayne Ray officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
