Janis Lynn Lee

Janis Lynn Lee, 73, of Akron, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on October 14, 2025. She was born on August 15, 1952.

In addition to her parents Betty Jo and Joe Sturm, Jan was preceded in death by her sisters Valarie Walls and Melody Penrod.

Jan is survived by her loving son Eric (Ashley) Tanner; daughter Melanie (Josh) Patterson; grandchildren Kamden, Allie, Cody; great-grandson Greyson; sisters Lisa (Russ) Bell, Faith Hammond, Hope Reimann, Jackie Ruseli, Jodi Wood (John Farley), Jennifer Pietzcher; and their families.

Jan's family would like to thank the dear friends she made at Pebble Creek, who had become family over the last couple of years: Corrina Phillips & Sylvia Schaffer, and their mother and Janis' roommate, Helene. They would also like to extend their gratitude to her caring aides, whose compassionate care and companionship uplifted Jan.
