In Loving Memory of Janice Dee Rowe (née Beaver)
March 21, 1962 – July 4, 2026
With profound sadness, but with the hope and assurance found in Jesus Christ, we announce the passing of our beloved Janice Dee Rowe, who entered peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior after a long and courageous battle with numerous health challenges.
Born on March 21, 1962, Janice lived a life defined by unwavering faith, unconditional love, quiet humility, and selfless service. She was a devoted Christian woman whose trust in God never faltered, even through years of illness, pain, and personal loss. Her life was a testament to perseverance, grace, and the enduring strength that comes from a steadfast faith.
Janice was the loving and devoted wife of Jim Rowe, with whom she shared a life centered on faith, family, and commitment of 40 years. She was the proud mother of Jim Rowe, Jr., Christi Horak (Steve), and Maranda Rowe. Her husband and children were the greatest joys of her life, and she loved them fiercely, always offering unconditional love, encouragement, wisdom, and unwavering support.
One of Janice's greatest blessings was becoming "Nana" to Olivia and Hannah Horak. She adored her granddaughters and treasured every moment spent with them.
Janice was also a fiercely devoted mother to her daughter, Maranda. She embraced the unique challenges of raising a daughter with autism with extraordinary patience, compassion, advocacy, and unconditional love. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to Maranda's care and happiness, demonstrating every day what sacrificial love truly looks like.
She found joy in life's simple blessings. Those who knew Janice knew a woman of incredible humility and quiet strength. She never sought praise or recognition, choosing instead to faithfully serve those around her. She spent her life caring for others, often performing the unseen and thankless tasks that kept her family strong and supported even while sometimes tired and underappreciated. She never stopped giving of herself. Her love was demonstrated not through grand gestures, but through countless acts of kindness, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion.
Janice is survived by her beloved husband, Jim Rowe; her son, Jim Rowe, Jr.; her daughter, Christi Horak (Steve); her daughter, Maranda Rowe; her granddaughters, Olivia Horak and Hannah Horak; her mother, Martha Beaver; her sisters, Debbie McCulty (Jerry) and Jennifer Yovanovich (Dany); her brothers, Jerry Beaver, Jeff Beaver (Patty), and Danny Beaver; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Olen Beaver.
Although our hearts are broken by her absence, we rejoice in knowing that Janice's earthly suffering has ended. She has been welcomed into the arms of her Savior, where there is no more pain, no more sickness, and no more tears. Her legacy of faith, humility, courage, and unconditional love will continue to live on through the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 3:00pm at Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Road, Uniontown, OH 44685. A memorial service will follow at 4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to KidsFirst /TOPS or that acts of kindness be performed in Janice's memory, reflecting the servant's heart with which she lived every day.
