Janet K. Walsh, age 76, of Akron, Ohio, "Flew Away To Glory" on December 7, 2018 at her home.
She was born on August 28, 1942 in Akron, the daughter of the late John Donald and Agnes (nee Held) Showalter.
Janet was a graduate of Ellet High School and she also attended the University of Akron. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, cooking and all of the arts, music, the symphony, theatre. Janet was a true prayer warrior and was active at church. Throughout the years, Janet tutored in several schools, as well as, a teacher's aid.
Janet is survived by her children, Brian (Lori Harmon) Walsh and Joy Faith Westbrook; her grandchildren, Shawnee (William) Harmon, Tyler (Britny) Lucas-Walsh, Michael, Nolan, and Olivia Westbrook; her great-grandson, Sebastian Lucas-Walsh; her cousin/brother, Charles Held; and her former husband, Thomas Walsh, also survives.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Catholic Charities in Janet's memory.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 12 noon at Mount Herman Church Cemetery in Kodol, West Virginia.
