Janet Sue Shepherd

Janet S. Shepherd, age 62, of Malvern, passed away on May 25, 2025 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Akron, Ohio on July 4, 1962 to the late Homer and Nola Baumgardner. She was a 1980 graduate of East High School. After graduation, Janet attended Ohio State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in natural resources.

Janet worked many years for Aetna/CVS.

She loved to be outdoors, frequently hiking with Ben and going for runs. She found joy in competing in half marathons and different runs for charity. Janet and Ben also enjoyed traveling, sightseeing, camping, boating and fishing in their free time. She was an avid country music and Ohio State football fan.

Janet is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Ben; children, Austin and Michelle; grandchildren, Michael, Saylor, Kaylie, Cooper and Lola; brothers, Dave (Janet) and Rod (Diane); and niece, Renae.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
