Janet L. Hinton

Janet L. Hinton, 83, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025. Born on September 21, 1941, she was the beloved daughter of the late David and Pauline Pluck. Janet was a loyal and valuable employee using her varied skills for several companies and finished her career with JRS Lawn & Landscape, where she worked with commitment and excellence until her retirement. A woman of deep faith, she was a cherished member of The Chapel in Akron.

Janet's legacy is defined by her unwavering love for her family. She took pride in being surrounded by those she loved most, and her greatest accomplishment was building a life filled with warmth, care, and devotion to her loved ones. She and her family are profoundly grateful for the love and support of neighbors who were considered part of the family throughout the years.

Janet is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Roger E. Hinton; her children Randy (Judy) Fearer, Sheree (Phil) Smith, and Ron (Erin) Fearer; step-daughters Karen Andexler and Lori (Cam) Davis; grandchildren Jeff (Megan), Kristin (Nate), Jonny (Stephany), Daniel (Hollie), and Hillary (Kevin); great-grandchildren Ellie, Bristol, Parker, Kenzie, Addie, Ava, Caroline, Noah, and Emma; siblings Ray (Sue) Pluck and Jimmy Pluck; and many other relatives and friends. Each will carry forward her values of compassion, resilience, and dedication.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, June 23, at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron), followed by services at 12:00 PM with Pastor Philip Decker officiating. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
