James Wayne Wade

James Wayne Wade, age 76, of New Franklin, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

Jim was born on November 30, 1949 in Grantsville, West Virginia. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served his country proudly in the Vietnam War. Jim worked for the RCA Rubber Company for 33 years, retiring in 2006. Above all, he loved his country, his family, and the Lord.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mabel Wade, his brothers, Robbie, Tom, Rodney, John, and Mike.

Jim is survived by the love of his life, his loving wife of 56 years, Alma, his daughter and son-in-law Christy (Brian) Ansell, his granddaughter, Braelynn, sister, Shirley Gault, and Cheryl (Daniel) Kenney – (who was more like a second daughter to Jim), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and his precious pup, Gidget.

The Wade family would like to extend a thank you to everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and many acts of love and kindness during this difficult time. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Summa Hospice for the care they provided Jim.

Per Jim’s request there will be no services taking place.
