James Torson
James Torson, 93, passed away December 19, 2013. He was born January 15, 1920 in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from West High School in Akron and proudly served in the U.S. Army. James was an electrician at BF Goodrich until his retirement. He was a longtime member of High Street Christian Church.
James leaves us with the appreciation of all that creation has given us. He was a kind, thoughtful man who taught tolerance and respect for all of the life around us.
James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ila Torson and daughter, Sally Gray. He will be missed by his sons, James M. and Daniel R. (Pam) Torson; granddaughters and families, Robin, Steffen, and Maya Kory, Rebecca, Trevor and Drew Essex, Stacy Gray, Jamie Gray, and Summer Stetzik.
A private memorial service will be held for James. Any inquiries may be made to Newcomer Funeral Home.
