James D. "Jim" Simon

James D. "Jim" Simon, 70, passed away peacefully at home on November 9, 2024 surrounded by his family. Born in Choteau, MT to James Simon and Evelyn Barta, he resided in the Akron, Ohio area all of his adult life. Jim enjoyed gardening, sailing, snorkeling, woodworking, riding his 4-wheelers, playing the guitar and spending time with his family.

Jim will be sadly missed by his wife of 30 years, Tammi; children, Wrangler (Bobby) Slater, Josh (Heather) Simon, Samantha (Mark) Beckett, Jill (Dennis) Arrowood, Joe (Rachel) Simon, Lucas (Sara) Winell, Jina (Donny) Wallace; 26 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Debbie Eltzroth; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Jim's life Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Main Street Saloon, 1481 S. Main St., Akron. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Jim's name to the family.
