James "Jimmy" Edward Quick, age 76, passed away on July 4, 2025 in Akron Ohio.
He was born on January 27th 1949 in Memphis Tennessee to Kenneth and Dorothy Quick.
Jimmy played the guitar and sang in a band and performed locally before joining the U. S. Navy in 1968 and served until 1974 where he received an Honorable Discharge.
He worked as a truck driver and later was the warehouse manager for Saalfield Square Properties.
His passions were The Circle Q (his residence), Harley Davidsons, Chevy's, model trains and most of all his wife Linda of 26 years.
He was a large presence in the lives of all who knew him. Jimmy was a devoted friend and family man and loved meeting new people. Jimmy married his sweetheart, Linda, on January 27, 1999 which were their shared birth days. Jimmy built a large model train layout that was published in print and video by a National Model Rail Road Magazine. Jimmy hand built many of the model railroad buildings and the electrical Control work.
His great joy was the Circle Q where he would sit on his front porch watching traffic after hours of yard work, just enjoying his efforts of love.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife Linda Quick, daughter Brooke Boll, her husband Zak Boll, Jimmy's brothers, Kenneth Quick Jr., Paul Quick, Ted Quick and many friends.
