James K. Martin
James K. Martin "Jimmy" 54, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015. James was born on June 12, 1961 in Akron, Ohio to James and Rose Martin. He served in the US Navy for 4 years. Jimmy worked as a machinist and traveled often through his work. He also loved dancing, golfing, singing in the church choir, having fun, and spending time with his family and friends.
James is preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Anne Martin; and Henry and Hilda Knapp; and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by parents, James and Rose Martin; sisters, Cathy (Floyd) Ackerman, Susan (John) Armocida, Deanna (Rod Young) Benson; and many nieces, nephews whom he loved playing with and teasing.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 3-6pm at Movement Church (Coventry Plaza) 3333 Manchester Rd. Suite 20. Special thanks to Heidi at Alternative Solutions Adult Daycare, The Gardens at Western Reserve, The Orchard at Ridgewood, and VNS Hospice. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and/or VNS Hospice on Ridgewood Rd. Per Jimmy's request, come "Party Hardy with Marty" one more time. Please dress down and wear purple in his honor.
