James Harold Anderson

James Anderson, 86, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2014. He was born in Spencer, WV on September 18, 1927 to the late Richard and Hettie Anderson. Jim retired from Goodyear in 1985 after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple.

Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Charles and sister, Irene Starcher. He is survived by his loving wife, Lela, of 62 years; son, James (Kim); daughter, Pam (Eric) Contrascier; grandchildren, Matthew, Carl, Karee, Alicia and Kristin; sister, Eve Newhart.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, January 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a funeral service will follow calling hours at 12 p.m. with Rev. Brent Malone officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Akron Baptist Temple.
