James E. Wells
James E. Wells, 83, went home to be with the Lord on May 7, 2015. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 42 years of service. James was a member of Southeast Nazarene Church where he enjoyed serving as an usher. James loved his family and his retirement, most of which he spent outside on his swing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anice; parents, Wilmer and Dorothy; sister, Wilma; brother, Charlie; and twin sister Jean (Bob). James leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Cherie (Fred) Jessee, and Diane (Mark) Jordan, step-son, Jim (Pam) Barker; and step-daughter, Cathy Bondurant. He also leaves sister, Edith Hazelett; former wife, Charlotte Conley; 7 grandchildren; Andy, Hannah, Amanda, Freddie, Jimmy, Mindy, and Alana; 7 great-grandchildren, including "The Baby" Stella, who was the light of his life. He will be missed by friends, Ralph Heil and Adolph Tokes.
The family would like to thank Sandy Anderson for her loving care of our father.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday May 10, 2015 from 6-8pm and also on Monday May 11 at 12pm with the funeral service starting 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Interment Hillside Memorial Park.
