James E. Penn

James E. "Jim" Penn, 76, went to be with the Lord on September 25, 2012. Jim retired from Goodyear after 40+ years of service. He enjoyed car racing and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Margaret Penn. Survivors include his beloved wife, Alice, of 33 years; sons, Gary, Bobby (Char), Larry (Elaine), Jimmy (Valinda), Gerry (Laura); daughter, Nancy Calhoun; brother, Ronald; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evelyn Dolinak (Housas); best friend, Joe Odes.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, 2 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
