James W. "Butch" Pollitt, 77, he was born on January 31, 1948 of Akron and passed away on January 10, 2026. He retired after 37 years of dedicated service from Allside. Jim was known for his exceptional woodworking skills and his ability to create beautiful, pieces. His attention to detail and dedication to quality were evident in every project he undertook.

Beyond woodworking, Jim had an innate mechanical aptitude; he possessed the unique gift of being able to fix anything that came his way.

Equally important to Jim's life was his commitment to maintaining a pristine yard. He took great pride in his home.

Everyone knew Jim by the profound love he had for his wife Anne, whom he adored deeply which served as an inspiration to everyone around them.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and beloved wife Anne Pollitt.

Jim is survived by his loving family, daughter Julie (Michael) Laneville; son James Pollitt; grandchildren Monroe Lee, Anderson, and Ava; sister Jacque (James) Laser; and many other relatives and friends.

Cremation will take place and per Jim's wishes there will be no service.
