James S. Breznak, 87, of Akron, passed away on December 13, 2025. He was born in Akron, Ohio on January 20, 1938 to the late Sylvester and Mary Breznak.
Jim worked for General Tire for 24 years until the company closure. He then worked for Alcon Tool, retiring in 2005. In his free time, Jim enjoyed rooting for the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavs. He also liked fishing and shooting.
Jim was an honest man who wasn't shy about sharing his opinions. His CB club knew him by the handle "Straight Arrow" because you always knew where you stood with Jim. He was devoted to his family and always made sure the needs of others were met. He lovingly cared for his wife Jean in her final days and made them as comfortable as possible for her.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by Jean, to whom he was married for 57 years; and sister, Ruth Helms.
Jim will be dearly missed by his sons, Ronald James (Jan) Breznak, Jeffrey (Victoria) Breznak, and Jack (Denise) Breznak; grandchildren, Kyle Breznak, Anthony Breznak, Sabrina (Michael) Baldwin, Chad (Elise) Breznak, and Cayanne (Kyle) Jordan; several great-grandchildren; niece, Patti McCoy; and several cousins.
Per Jim's wishes, he will be privately laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park.
