James "Jimmie" A. King
April 24, 1949 - December 6, 2025
James "Jimmie" King, (age) of Lakemore, Ohio, passed away on December 6, 2025. Born on April 24, 1949 in Akron, Ohio, Jim was the beloved son of Melvin and Ruth King.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Bonnie King; his children Jim King, Michelle King, Christen King, Theresa (Jim) Borrieci, and Michael (Danielle) King; and his cherished grandchildren, Landen, Jelani, Gemma, Emerald, Colton, Kylie, Mack and Jameson, who brought him immense joy.
Jim lived a full and vibrant life. He met Bonnie while working at Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Center in Lakemore, and together they built a home that became a welcoming place for family and friends. Known for his generosity and love of gatherings, Jim's expansive backyard was often filled with laughter and memories.
A skilled painter, Jim learned his craft from his father and went on to establish King Industrial Painting in the 1980s. Beyond his work, Jim had a passion for muscle cars, proudly owning several Corvettes and a Dodge Duster over the years. He was an avid baseball player and boxer.
In retirement, Jim dedicated his time to his eight grandchildren and his extended family sharing a birthday with grandson Colton. He embraced every moment with them. His legacy of hard work, love, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Visitation will be held Monday December 15th from 4-6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home.
