Jacqueline R. (Foster) Patris

Jacqueline R. (Foster) Baird Patris, 76 prayed her last novena and rosary on October 1, 2016. Jackie was born on June 20, 1940. She lived her life as a devout Catholic, was strong in her faith and prayed for everyone. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church for many years and for 25 years, she thoroughly enjoyed teaching 4th grade PSR with her husband, Don. For the last 10 years, Jackie and Don were members of St. Eugene's Catholic Church where they both enjoyed Fr. Crosby's sermons and made many friends.

Preceded in death by her parents Catherine (Young) Foster, Ray Foster, first husband, Gene Baird, son Darrin Baird, sister Mary Ann Thomas.

She is survived by her husband, Don Patris, daughters Brenda (Wayne) Detwiler, Kim Baird, Tina Baird, Barbie (Jay) Brewer, sisters, Joanne (Joe) Musteric, Judi List, sister-in-law Erin Brodie and many special grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Special thanks go out to Kasey Wilson, she gave unselfishly of her time taking Jackie and Don to their doctor's appointments, grocery shopping and to church. Sincere thanks also go out to family, friends and neighbors who extended a helping hand when needed.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11 am at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Father Neil Crosby will preside. Interment will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the St. Eugene's Knights of Columbus Group 2362.
