Jack S. Starr, 78, of Akron, passed away on November 27, 2016. He was born in Yolyn, West Virginia on August 22, 1938. Jack proudly served in the U.S. Navy and retired from ODOT after 21 years of service. Jack loved country music and performed with bands all over the country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Willa. Jack will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Jackie; children, Kelly, Kim, Ellen, Sineta, and Mike; sisters, Eve, Jean, and Flo; brother, Cecil; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
