Jack Price peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 18 at the age of 91. Jack was a lifelong resident of Akron and worked for over 45 years at Goodyear Aerospace then Lockheed-Martin. Jack served in the Navy during WWII seeing action during the D-Day invasion at Utah Beach as crew on landing craft. He participated in the Allied Landing in Southern France and later during the invasion of Okinawa, Japan. He has been a member of the Tallmadge United Methodist Church for over 60 years, a 57 year member of the Adoniram-Joppa Lodge No. 517 F. & A. M. and member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Akron. He loved golfing and bowling with his friends and vacationing and spending time with his family. Jack is preceded in death by his grandson Isaac Price Magoun, daughter Amy, his mother Ota and father Leonard Phillips, and his sister Iwana Bond. Jack is survived by Patricia, his wife of 66 years, son Jack and his wife Pamela of Granville, Ohio, son William and his wife Carole of Hawi, Hawaii, granddaugher Emily Jane Robillard (Orion) of Austin, TX,grandson Jack Morgan Price (Emily Beaudoin) of Anchorage, Alaska, and two great randdaughters Olivia Grace Robillard and Rebecca Morgan Robillard. The family will receive friend on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron from 2pm to 4pm. Additional calling hours will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Tallmadge United Methodist Church 207 N. Munroe Rd. Tallmadge Ohio 44278 from 10am to 11am with funeral service to follow at 11am with Rev. William Liming Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
