Jack W. Miller, 87, passed away on August 7, 2005. Jack was a WWII Veteran serving with the US Army. He attended barber school and was a member of Springfield Assembly of God and the Goodyear Retiree's Club. Preceded in death by his parents Isaac and Muriel Miller (nee Rice) and brother Perry "Theo" Miller. Survivors include his beloved wife of 66 years, Florence; daughters Shirley N. Bird and spouse, and Carol R. (David) Marsh; sisters Beatrice Sponseller, Dorothy Kay Miller, and Betty Elaine Sarver; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many friends and neighbors. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service Thursday, 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
