Jack William Evans

December 4, 1941 — June 16, 2025

Jack William Evans, born on December 4, 1941, in Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, in Green, Ohio in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. A cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Jack's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and countless memories.

Jack devoted his professional life as a skilled pipefitter for Chrysler in Twinsburg, proudly serving the company until his retirement on March 31, 2004. His remarkable work ethic and dedication were evident throughout his career, but it was his zest for life that truly defined him.

Above all, Jack treasured the companionship of his beloved wife, Nikki Evans, with whom he shared 56 wonderful years. Together, they embraced life, traveling to various destinations and creating a wealth of shared experiences. Their passion for horses led them to own racehorses and actively participate in the horse racing circuit, allowing them to enjoy the thrill of the sport side by side. The love they shared was a testament to the power of partnership, and their journeys together were always filled with laughter and mutual support. Jack's proudest accomplishment was enjoying a fulfilling retirement with Nikki, where they seized new opportunities and made unforgettable memories.

Jack's personality radiated joy; his sense of humor and love for life gathered those around him, and he always put family first. He imparted a legacy of strength and unity that will resonate through the lives of his children, Tracie (Chris) Steffee and Christi Autz, his grandchildren, Jennifer (Kim) Tewanger, Rachel Autz, Trenton Autz, and his great-granddaughter, Quinn. Jack also leaves behind his cherished sisters, Sandra Mottice and Jean Zatezalo, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Velda Evans, his beloved son, Jack Evans, and his brother, Mike Evans, whose absence was deeply felt.

With a passion for sports, Jack was an avid fan of golf and the Cleveland Browns, always sharing in the excitement of the game, which often brought the family together. He also proudly served in the Army Reserves, embodying a spirit of commitment and service.

Family and friends will gather to honor Jack's life on June 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Akron, Ohio. As we celebrate Jack's legacy, we hold dear the laughter, the love, and the unforgettable moments shared with him, knowing that his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
