Isaac Lee Teter, 94, passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Born in the hills of Circleville, WV, he resided in the Akron, OH area all of his adult life. He was a proud Veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. Lee worked as a plumber/pipefitter for many years with the Local 219. He owned and trained race horses and also enjoyed farm life, gambling and spending time with his family. He was known for having a caring soul and would do anything for anyone who knew him.
Lee was preceded in death by his son, Greg Teter; mother, Mary Judy; several siblings. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 66 years, Charlotte Jeanne (Barrett) Teter; children, Brenda (Steve) Bratton, Gary (Denise) Teter, Melia (Dean) Elliott; grandchildren, Ashley, Brandi, Jenna, Danielle (Josh), Derek (Coleen); great grandchildren, Miles, Ava, Cole, Brody, Sydney, Charlotte.
Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Lee's name to the Veteran's organization of their choice.
