Irene Ramnytz

Irene E. Ramnytz went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2015, at the age of 87. She was born in Akron, OH, to parents Konrat and Rose Scherzer. Irene retired from Akron General Hospital. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Elva Chapter. She was preceded in death by husband, Alexander Sr.; and brother, Conrad Scherzer. She is survived by children, Irene Dettmer, of Akron; Shirley (Walter) Moll, of Alabama; Alice (John) Williams, of Akron; Alexander Jr. (Robin) Ramnytz, of Akron; James (Tammy) Ramnytz, of Suffield; Marilyn Ramnytz, of Akron; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sisters Clara Bouck, of Chicago, and Rose Zents, of Cuyahoga Falls; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at 6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Friends may visit between 5-6pm. Chaplain Doug Olsen officiating.
