Inge Sommer Lutz, 64, from Mogadore, OH, passed away on October 30, 2012 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on May 28, 1948 in Holzheim, Germany to the late Heinrich and Lina (nee Fitzenberger) Sommer. Inge was very proud when she became an American citizen and worked as a seamstress for over 25 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends. Inge was a member of the VFW Women's Auxillary in Mogadore.
Preceded in death by her parents; step-sons, Jeffrey "Scoty" Lutz and David Lutz, Jr.; and special sister-in-law, Shirley Gearhart. Survived by her husband of 24 years, David Lutz; 3 children, Christiane (Richard) Miller, Jr. of Ravenna, OH, Cheryl A. (Randy) Clark of Middlefield, OH, and Mario A. Finocchi of Garrettsville, OH; step-son, Brian (Denise) Lutz of Ellet, OH; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Waltraud (Adolf) Schneider, Renate Brieske, Heidi (Ken) Heishman, Elisabeth (Joseph) Rozman, Christa Ponitz, and Eva (Ozzie) Wirth; brothers, Gerhard Sommer and Hans Sommer; special sister-in-law, Barbara Finocchi; nieces, Michelle Shuster and Denise Dishong.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon.
